Mooie en bijzondere plaat, op hetzelfde label als de Daniel Romano platen. Mckiel is een Canadees en het verhaal achter Bobby Joe Hope is net zo mooi als de plaat zelf (mckiel kocht een taperecorder, inclusief een stel banden en met de hypnotiserende muziek op die tapes ging hij aan de slag. ‘McKiel teamed up with producer Jay Crocker to transfer all the material they could excavate from the reels to a hard drive. McKiel then chopped the sounds into 10-second loops, and used those samples as a foundation for a series of eerie, psychedelic pop songs.
