Howlin Rain – the alligator bride lp

Nieuwe Howlin Rain plaat, hun vijfde inmiddels. Meer seventies rock van Ethan Miller (Comets on Fire/ Heron Oblivion) en zijn kerels. Uitgebracht op Silver Current Records, het label van o.a. Miller zelf.  ‘Gleefully indebted to classic rock formations like the Grateful Dead and Free’. En Allman Brothers. Die ook. En in dit nummer is ook Neil Young niet ver weg. “The guiding principle for The Alligator Bride was to create high energy, good-times adventure music, driving the hippie bus, shirtless and stoned, up for four days straight, and extremely fuzzy around the edges.” Nou, dat is dan wel aardig gelukt. Luister hier op bandcamp het een en het ander.
